Both Globodox and Sohodox have a lot of features which some of our users may not be aware of.  So that our users are able to gain from all the functionality in Globodox/Sohodox, we will be tweeting at least one tip about using the product everyday.  The first tweet goes out in the next few minutes. Simply follow @itaztech on twitter to receive your daily tip.

Recently released version 6 includes a new tool called Folder Monitor that allows you to configure Globodox/Sohodox to watch one or more specified folders on your disk. Once the system is configured, whenever a file is copied to any of those monitored folders, the file is automatically added to Globodox / Sohodox and becomes immediately searchable and manageable. Yes, you understood it right! All you need to do is add the files to the monitored folder and Folder Monitor will automatically add them to Globodox / Sohodox.

Users could always create field names and enter data in the language of their choice but the menu and dialogs have only been available in English. Based on a number of requests received from partners and customers, we decided to undertake the translation of the Globodox & Sohodox User Interface into multiple languages.

Work on the Spanish versions of Globodox & Sohodox is almost complete and the Spanish versions will be available shortly. More language versions will follow soon thereafter. We will keep you posted…

Globodox Version 6.1.0.5 has been released. This is a minor release with a few bug fixes and a new feature.

What’s New:

• Error ignored when adding multiple files
  While adding large number of files to Globodox, if an error occurs for a file, that file will be skipped and Globodox will continue adding the remaining files. After the addition is complete it will display the list of skipped files.

Bug Fixes:

1. Fixed: Document Title is not exported as the filename of the document, when exporting folders along with documents.
2. Fixed: Cannot drag and drop documents, from within Globodox, to a Stack.
3. Fixed: Cannot change the properties of a field in a Document Type or Stack Type.
4. Fixed: Error when converting a DB to SQL Server, when using a instance name.
5. Fixed: Error while adding files not supported for OCR.
6. Fixed: Error when launching Workflow Designer and Workflow Monitor from the Start menu.
7. Fixed: Error when clicking on Show Extracted Text when no item is present in the List pane.
8. Fixed: Printing of Annotation done wrongly.
9. Fixed: Error when adding a password protected PDf file
10. Fixed: Error when sorting Type column in Encryption settings
11. Fixed: Application crashes when a scan is done with ‘Auto deskew’ option enabled ( Usually seen in Windows7 and Vista).
12. Fixed: Error when a PDF file is rotated and Save and Check-in button is clicked.

  You will now hear a confirmation sound instead of the confirmation dialog being displayed, when you press the CTRL + F7 keys on the keyboard, to copy the full path of the selected document to the clipboard.
